Russell Elementary Career Day

At the
2001-2002 Career Day at Russell Elementary Doroteo Garcia Jr, President of
the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers- UTB Chapter, along with
Professor Jose
Amieva had the opportunity to meet and discuss future career plans with many
elementary students. They were able to interact with 3rd, 4th, and 5th
grade students who were particularly interested in Engineering, Mathematics,
and Science. As part of their presentation, students were given a
demonstration and explained the functioning of a small robotic device that
was assembled by Engineering students at the University of Texas at
Brownsville. |
